BASIC GALAPAGOS HOTEL AIRPORT

ITINERARY 7 DAYS – 6 NIGHTS

You are met by an Explorer Tour representative at the airport and are provided transportation to your hotel in Quito. (Breakfast included).

After breakfast, you will go back in time a couple of hundred years while driving around the colonial section of Quito and admire architectural monuments, such as La Basilica church, Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, and the colonial churches.

Following, you will either go to the “Middle of the World City,” where the monument that divides the Northern from the Southern Hemisphere stands; it was built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line. Or, the “Intiñan Museum”, known as the Equinox Solar Museum, you choose. (Overnight in Quito).

After breakfast, you will be transported to Quito Airport for your Galapagos flight. Once you arrive in Galapagos at the San Cristobal Airport, our staff will meet you. They will transport you to your hotel; located in San Cristobal Island.

The tour starts in the afternoon, pick you up at your hotel. where you will start the first excursion to Cerro Tijeras. 45-minute walk where you can enjoy spectacular volcanic landscapes, sighting of endemic flora and fauna, and swimming and snorkeling activities. On the way back we will visit the Playa del Amor, also known as Punta Carola, ideal for swimming and photographs of sea lions.

After breakfast, visit the highland of San Cristóbal. (Duration 5 hours in private car), with interpretive stops in Hacienda EL Progresso (historical – cultural site of the island) Laguna el Junco is an inactive volcano that accumulates rainwater, suitable for photographs, Galapaguera of Cerro Colorado, where we will see giant tortoises in a semi-natural state and culminate in one of the most beautiful beaches of the island “Puerto Chino”. Return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

After breakfast, we headed by bus to Lobería Beach. In this place we can make an explanatory walk along the cliff to observe godzilla iguanas, blue-footed frigatebirds, and endemic gulls, among others; and then we return to the beach for swimming and snorkeling with sea lions, turtles, a variety of fish, rays, and occasionally iguanas are seen feeding on seaweed.

After lunch, we will have the option to do the kayaking activity or a water taxi ride through Darwin Bay, for photographs of the marine fauna and finish at the local beach to enjoy the sunset.

Breakfast hotel. Visit the Interpretation Center- transfer to the airport.

Flight Galapagos to Quito. In the airport, you are met by an Explorer Tour representative and provided transfers at the Hotel in Quito

After breakfast, transfer out for taking international flight.
